Minutes for March 10 2008
Meeting called to order by President Richard Boone at 6:35 PM
Members Present: Richard Boone, Neric Smith, Jack Boatman, Dennis Stewart, Clinton Casteel, Tom Juhl, and Martin Shook. Absent Melia Piper.
Others Present: Molly Piper, Stacie Juhl, and Al Mahon
Minutes: The minutes of the February meeting were read and approved on a motion by Dennis and a second by Neric. Passed unanimously.
Financials/ unpaid bills: Stacie covered the financials and un paid bills, motion by Jack to accept the financials and to pay the bills, second by Martin, Passed unanimously.
Proshop: Closed for season
Course: Al reported on the course, need a cleanup day to get course ready, cleanup scheduled for Saturday March 29th. Al reported that fertilizer has increased in price by 30% over last year. Need to get top dressing for greens and tee boxes.
Neric gave a progress report on irrigation and cart path projects. He will get additional bids for the cart path, and work with the DNR and committee on water project.
Clubhouse: Molly gave the clubhouse report, paint is ordered and needs to be painted before March 29th looking for volunteers. Will wait until fall to clean kitchen vents.
Old Business: Jack has set new tournament it will be two person best ball, two day tournament on May 31st and June 1st entry $60 a person limited to 62 teams, pays 5 places in 4 flights.
Motion by Dennis for age minimum of 18 for men’s and women’s league and adult scrambles, and 21 for night golf and tournaments where beer is furnished on the course, second by Clint. Passed unanimously.
Membership: Tom reported 4 new members have joined. We will continue with punch card for 2008.
New Business: Molly has made up country club brochures to be placed in the community and to give to new members,
Martin made a motion to adjourn, second by Tom meeting was adjourned.
