Minutes for February 11 2008

Meeting called to order by Richard Boone, President at 6:40 PM.

Board Members Present: Richard Boone, Neric Smith, Dennis Stewart, Jackie Boatman, Tom Juhl, Melia Piper, and Martin Shook Absent was Clinton Casteel

Others Present: Molly Piper, Alan Mahon, and Stacie Juhl.

Minutes: Minutes of the January meeting were read and approved on a motion by Dennis and a second by Neric, passed unanimously.

Financials: Motion by Martin to confirm Stacie Juhl as book keeper and Tom Juhl as Treasurer second by Melia passed unanimously. Stacie covered the financials and the unpaid bills were covered and reviewed. Motion by Jackie to approve financials and payment of bills. Second by Melia passed unanimously.

Course: Al reported on the conference he had attended in Ames. Neric reported on where we are on the holding pond for irrigation and cart path construction. We have received one preliminary bid for the cart path from the end of the dam to 8 tee box. Neric will continue to working on the project and getting bids.

Proshop: Closed for season

Clubhouse: Molly reported on the club house, we had to replace igniter on the furnace. The cost to replace the carpet in the bar area would be $2357 for carpet and $650 for installation, that is with the volunteers removing the old carpet. Material and paint to paint the bar area ceiling and walls would be $300. Tom made a motion to purchase necessary material to paint the bar and to wait list the carpet. Second by Melia passed unanimously. The chair fund project has collected $1070 to recover the clubhouse chairs

The total needed is $1920 for material and labor, before the project can be completed all funds needs to be collected.

After discussion, Neric made a motion to donate two (2) punch cards to KDMU for advertising, second by Martin passed unanimously.

Cart lease for the 2008 will be $350 for the season.

Membership: Members paid thus far for 2008 is 36 family and 23 individuals.

Old Business: No old business

New Business: Jackie covered a new tournament that will be started this year it will be a two person best ball event lasting two (2) days.

Melia has collected an additional $100 for the luau event band.

Dennis made a motion to adjourn second by Jackie, passed unanimously
