Minutes for April 14, 2008
Meeting called to order by President Richard Boone at 6:40 PM
Board members present: Richard Boone, Neric Smith, Jack Boatman, Dennis Stewart, Clinton Casteel, Tom Juhl, Melia Piper, Gerald Bragg, and Martin Shook.
Others Present: Al Mahon, Molly Piper, Stacie Juhl, John Schroeder
John reported on money available for the water project for greens and fairways. It is possible to get money but need funding from club also.
Minutes: The minutes of the March meeting were read and approved on a motion by Clinton, second by Dennis, approved unanimously.
Financials/Unpaid Bills: Stacie/Tom covered the financials and reviewed unpaid bills, Move to accept by Martin second by Clinton, passed unanimously.
Proshop: The proshop is open, have some new products.
Course: Clinton gave course report, need to replace/repair culvert at number two tee box, Al will contact Bloomfield Bridge & Culvert. Neric reported on cart path had checked on asphalt, Dick will contact Phil McClure for a price. Martin will check with Lancaster CC on who did their cart paths.
Clubhouse: Molly gave clubhouse report, recover chair project has $1460.00 in the bank, motion by Melia to buy the material, second by Tom, carried.
Crystal Overstreet has donated a 42” plasma TV to the club. Thanks Crystal!
Discussion on satellite or CM telephone for service Dennis made a motion to table for a month second by Tom. Passed unanimously.
Stacy to check on new mortgage rate.
Membership: To date we have 37 paid & 6 partial paid family, 38 paid & 1 partial paid individual membership plus 2 juniors.
New Business: Dennis will contact Sam Miller on the cost to the school use of the course by the golf teams. Membership to be solicited to determine interest in course improvement (water) with club paying a portion through dues increase.
Martin made a motion to pay Dennis Stewarts dues through 2008 for payment as treasure Dennis will pay cart shed, second by Tom passed unanimously.
Motion by Dennis to adjourn, second by Neric Meeting was adjourned.
